If it has a bushing its a 17* it that correct? I keep setting a check engine light even in tow/haul, so i think its in need of a better pump. What will i need? Any gaskets? I got a 97 so i believe the 17* drops right in correct?

i think you are correct about the bushing being a 17* pump. It will drop right in, make sure you do IPR O rings at teh same time.

The new pump will probably come with the gasket to mate it to the reservoir. I would have new O-rings for the fittings and a new reservoir gasket on hand as well. Check Joats page link in the signature for part numbers for it all.

Good mod I just did it last week .My truck sure seems to have better drivability down in the lower rpms . And it does not nose over at 2800 rpms anymore just keeps on pulling.
