for those of ya'll that have DP tuners is there a lot of difference between the 80eco and the 100 race tune?

Yes, and call Jody he can explain. He told me 80E is design for driving down the highway, no towing. Just not for racing or towing.

I like the 100 a lot better, esp. the trans. shifting. I find myself hardly ever in anything else. I have a problem keeping my foot outta it anyway so economy doesn't help...lol

Do you mean the 100 performance tune? I didn't know he had a 100 race tune.

I've got both, and for the money, don't waste it on 80E. I get better mileage in the 100 performance and 140 aggressive tunes anyway. Either get a tow tune, or don't get anything. Not worth 45 bucks to get the same fuel mileage.

I was running the 80E tune for a while as my DD tune, then I switched to the 120R tune for DD. I liked how the tranny worked on the 120R, fuel mileage wasn't anything to brag about, but my truck never got "great" mileage anyways. If I run in "modified stock", my milage goes up significantly over any other program, including the 80E...

I'm working with Jody to change the 80E tune. It's not a tune for traffic. I had him open up the TC lock/unlock and the 4-3 3-4 shifts to make it more drivable. It doesn't lug anymore. I think my mileage has creeped up as a result. I tried the 100 tune (as a trial). I only had a day to run it before the trial expired. It seemed to be more behaved than the 80E. It all seems to be shifting when and where.

I prefer the 120 program. It has the low boost and once the converter locks, it stays locked down into 2nd to about 22mph. Also, the 120 does not drop into overdrive as soon as the 80E. I find that shifting into overdrive sooner with the 80E lugs the engine a bit too much. The 80E is otherwise a very good program.

I got the next revision to the 80E yesterday. The 3-4 is now around 48mph minimum. That annoying OD lugging is gone, but you have to sacrifice some of the OD coasting/TC lockup so it can spool up when you hit the pedal. It locks up a second after you hit the go pedal. In OD, it drops to idle around 40-41mph rather than the 37mph. If you cancel out OD, it holds down to 27mph in D. I've only put 12miles on this tune, but I think he corrected the bulk of my list. I need to drive it a little more to try different scenarios.
