Its a 10.5
I recently tore up my rear end in my f-350. The Housing tag says 10.5 on it but when I opened it up, the carrier and ring gear have 10.25 stamped on it.
Why do they do this? You would think in an f-350 they would have the bigger ring gear.

I was told I can put an actual 10.5 ring and pinion, as long as I use the 10.5 pinion bearings.

the difference between the two is in the bearings
:whs:

10.25 parts with the correct inboard pinon bearing and race can go in the 10.5 housing. but the 10.5 parts can not go into the 10.25 housing.
