I need to enable the daytime running lights on my '08 F350 King Ranch.

Don't ask why. I know... its complicated.

Dealer says that it *might* be a quick programming job, for which they still want 1 hour of labour, OR it might need some sort of a harness and relay.

If it needs the harness and relay, they want ~$150 for parts and shop supplies plus another 1.5 hours of labour !

Questions

1) Can any of the aftermarket scan tools turn on the daytime running light function ?

2)Where is the DRL harness located ? (Front driver side bumper) What parts are in it ?

Bonus points to anyone who provides a picture and/or schematic !

I'll post up whatever I find out doing this.

Thanks !!!!

The head and fog lights are controlled by the smart junction box.
There is no seperate harness or relay.
Daytime running lights can be turned on or off with the Ford IDS tool your dealer has.

You were exactly right, Tensixniner. After several techs and service writers told me I'd have to buy and wire in a box, another shop simply turned them on with the scan tool.

Its amazing how much mis information there is out there.
