I’m getting Fluid leaking from the dipstick housing that’s attached to the transmission itself not the stick. Anyone know what’s going on there. It seems to be a little loose and has some white type of putty in between the joint going to the pan? Is there an o ring or does it need to be set back into place with a gasket seal/ maker? It’s a new transmission from ford **** is blowing my mind!
The white putty is a bad idea! If a small bit of it gets into the trans it could stick a valve or a solenoid and then you have more problems. There should be an o-ring there.
It's a press fit with an o-ring. If the fir is that loose, You might need to get a new tube.
