Ok everyone. I'm out of ideas here. I have had problems with my brakes locking up on my truck for going on years now. Every 6-8 months one of 4 brakes hangs up. I'll take it apart replace the caliper and wait for the next one to fail. 3 sets of calipers 2 sets of pads and rotors later I'm done playing this game. Something else is wrong. The brake fluid is new. New power steering pump last year hydroboost replaced 3 years ago. The short lines connected to the calipers arent a problem. Could it be abs? No abs light on the dash. Let me know your thoughts.

South of st louis missouri. I have bought remand calipers from oriellys & autozone. I might add my brakes stuck on me just on the rear. Passenger on Monday driver side Tuesday. The calipers arent bad this time. They compressed just like they were new. I regreased the pins but they didnt need it. Brake fluid is new also.

Remans are not reamed to tolerance, and the piston rides crooked in the bore.
this is a common problem now.
As said by jasper and pinktransport, only buy new, you should be ok
