Re: Seen this yet

Get a real tune on an LBZ/LMM Duramax and there's not a lot that'll outpull it, tuned or not. Obviously there's a chitload of variables there though

Tune anything with junk and yea, you'll be disappointed

Re: Seen this yet

Diablo is actually a good tuner for the GM's. Yes EFI and PPE are the best but they still suck unless you build the tranny.

my lbz with 9000 lbs in tow will outrun dads 99 stroke empty on a 6 percent grade.i know that don't take much but i don't have a big tune on it either, and i never limp it pullin.A friend of mine had a 6.4 450 and a lbz 2500 and the 2500 raped the 450 pullin identical loads on hills.

That I can't attest too, but it may be. There's an aweful lot of 6.4s running around, and I've never run into one tuned around here. So...all I have to judge by is the internet

Can you tell me why so many people run it then? It's not the most powerful tuner but i've seen alot of 100K mile Dmaxes that haven't had any problems running them. Either that or they don't want to spend a grand on the other ones...

A stock 6.4 is a smooth, mild running truck that likes the fuel. A tuned and deleted one can be a 550+rwhp monster. I don't think the GM's have been able to hang with them, especially with stock tranny and other parts. The 6.4 is the bolt on king.
