Re: Afe Questions

Not to take away from your thread but I'm wondering if these intakes will throw any codes without tuning

Re: Afe Questions

is does come with a TSB message with the screws and everything saying that heavy rain and snow can clog it

but they also say if throws code P whatever then take it to ford, ill post what it says when im done.

after installing most of it, i really am dissapointed with the fit of the airbox, its pretty tight and rubs on the a/c evac(?) pipe. i had some wire loom tubing so i put that around it

Re: Afe Questions

I have been running one of the Prodry S filters in the stage 2 intake since the truck was only 3 or 4 weeks old. I haven't had any check engine lights and I don't plan on doing any tunes to at this point. I do use the prefilter bag also and did on my previous truck. The nice thing about the pre-filter is you rarely ever have to clean the main filter, just take the pre-filter off and wash it and then when it's dry reinstall it. These do fit pretty tight into the new superduties, but I didn't have any issues with it possibly rubbing on things.

Re: Afe Questions

well i got it all in and so far so good, just drove it around the block.

did seem to take a little bit longer to spool up the turbo but maybe its the same.

ok well i put the 7 filter in with the pre-filter. Ill keep it on for awhile then ill try the dry S one.

the TSB was about the wastegate accuator fyi
