Stacks on a 6.7?

I am completely new to the diesel world. I just bought a new 2011 F-250 SD 4X4. I am wanting to put dual 5" or 6" stacks on it. I have ask around at several truck shops and I am being told it can't be done due to the Particular filter placement. One shop however told me it could be done and it would cost me about 2500 bucks. I have prices the pipes and the tips and it doesn't even come close to 1000 bucks. I can't see 1500 bucks in labor, how hard can it be to cut a hole in the bed and cut an exhaust pipe. Could I just do away with all that EPA junk and just run straight pipes from the engine to the stacks? Please help

Not without proper tuning. And that has not been released yet.

you can't remove the emissions devices without proper tuning to do so.

What he means is that there will be dpf deletes out soon with tuning. Right now you cant cause if you delete the dpf the truck will not fire.

Re: Stacks on a 6.7?

Or if it does start, It will eventually enter a regen and not quit. At least thats what happened with the 6.4. I assume the 6.7 is similar

cut a hole in the bed after the tail pipe and run it to the front of the bed then out the stacks.

Re: Stacks on a 6.7?

So with the dpf deleted and proper tuning I will be able to run a straight exhaust from engine to stacks. What about this regen I keep hearing about? Will that also stop?
