Badge Removal

Sorry if this was posted before. I did a quick search but didn't find anything promising.

Has anyone removed the Powerstroke badge off the doors, or know how to? I can't stand the look of it, but at the same time I don't want to tear anything up when I take it off.

Re: Badge Removal

Fishing line and goo-gone/decal remover. Warming it up with the wife's blow dryer helps a little too.

Re: Badge Removal

We took ours off when we painted the truck. Came off really easily with a flat scraper. Maybe tape the edge of it off first, but the adhesive on the back left zero residue.

Thanks guys, went the fishing line route and got them both off pretty quick. had two tiny spots of adhesive to clean.

Re: Badge Removal

I'm still undecided on the Fx4 sticker. when my dad first saw it he thought it had been graffitied. I figure I'll decide after I wash it up next time. It rained right after I washed it last week and i haven't gotten to see it clean without the badges yet.

I gotta admit, I didn't realize it was just double sided tape till I got the first one off. I was expecting some sort of glue.

Re: Badge Removal

Good job.....I hate to look of the 6.7L badge. Get yourself the King Ranch sticker version. Clean and not a eye soar.

Re: Badge Removal

the king ranch badge does look a lot better, but i'm just gonna run badgeless. If someone thinks its a gasser, they'll be more surprised when I fly by.
