Re: Outer grill surround????

Round Buttons? If they are the Same as my Bikes ,those would be Push pins! Take something Small like Allen Wrench and Push the Center in,Then you can Pull it out..

Most pins only push in about a 1/4 inch so don't get crazy with it

if it's Push pins when you get one out you will see how they work....

to re-install pop the Middle pin up push in the hole and then Push the pin in Flush to lock it in!

Please do post pics! I am considering installing a painted surround myself. How much did the new one cost?

Re: Outer grill surround????

$180 thats not bad at all ....

painting it prolly cost as much as buying it

It will take a while to get use to prolly,I Like the painted myself,Only thing about the painted is when you look at them from different angles the paint looks to be a Different shade than the rest of the truck due to the angle of the surround piece...the way the sun reflects off it...but in low light you can see they match...

Black won't be hard to match. With today's technology it should be fine if you took it to a decent body shop. Them just using your paint code would match good I am sure.

Now, from what I have heard from my neighbor, the White Platinum Metallic Tri Coat is difficult to match..... Which I have, so if I get the grill surround. I guess it'll be up to him to try his best to match it.

ya regular black wouldnt be so bad but i figured with the new tuxedo black with all that metallic might be a littlee more difficult... theres a local paint shop that can mix color match in rattle cans too and turns out pretty good
