Smoked markers and tails

Finally worked up the nerve to tint the marker lights and brake lights. I used VHT Nightshades. Seemed to turnout alright.

Napa had it. Most parts stores are starting to carry it.

Re: Smoked markers and tails

Did the same to my truck with the tails and 3rd brake. Came out awesome. I much prefer the look to a recon light which i think are a bit cheesy. Make sure you sand between coats and shoot it with clear to finish it off otherwise the VHT will turn chalky.

What kind of clear are you using over the VHT. I think I used acrylic, maybe enamel, not sure, whichever it was is all cracking and pealing. Want to redo them with the right stuff.

BTW, truck looks great Sagebel.

I prefer Recon, but it looks pretty good.

Re: Smoked markers and tails

Can someone make a pretty detailed right-up on each step it takes to tint your tail lights/3brake light yourself?I really want to tint mine but dont want to screw up.

2000 F-350 SD ccsb=185hp
Matt's Tunes=140hp
6637=20hp
2% window tint=25hp
4in straight pipe=50hp
Custom Fuel system w/ sump=50hp
Foil,AIH,EBPV delete=30hp
Wow...I'm making 500hp
