EZ Down Tailgate assist product

I thought I'd mention this product to those who share their ride with the fairer sex. I don't have any vested interest in this product. I just thought it'd mention it because I just bought my first truck; a 2011 KR 6.7L. I installed it so that the tailgate doesn't drop so hard, and possibly get damaged or cause damage by an uncontrolled descent. Installation was fairly uncomplicated. A person should be careful with the installation of the collapsing nut in the tailgate. Otherwise, it's simple and hopefully with prevent or mitigate any future issues.

My '09 Tundra had something like that from the factory. It does make having shorter folks opening the tailgate less worrisome. Kids and shorter adults seemed to like that feature as much as anything else on the Toyota.

Don't know why you need this? Especially with these new trucks the tailgates are super light!

Had it on my Tundra. Once you have it you always want it.
