Re: Hand Calculated Mileage figures, post them here!

Matt, I am just stating what I found, I reset ODO #2 and paused it, when I went past the first MM, I un-paused it, drove 7 miles and paused dead on the MM, ODO said 6, actual MM's showed 7.

On .org people speculated that their stock ODO was off because of what the GPS shows, I doubted, but I truly think that they are correct and I was wrong. When I have my DD set to show MPH, it shows approx 3 mph off from what the speedo shows..who knows. I will try it over a 10 mile span tomorrow.

Add the urea to the milage equation see if it hurts it any.

Having to do the Urea Tank fill is part of owning a newer truck. If we all didn't except it we wouldn't have bought a 2011 truck. As well as I'm sure if we lined your truck up next to mine and explained the maintenance everything went on with taking care of each truck I'm sure out of 10 people most of them would chose the 2011 truck over the 2004.

I know I sure chose the 11 ! And the urea fill up took about 5 minutes by myself. Although I can't get it to reset and stop telling me that I'm 501 miles till empty on the urea tank.

Did you add fluid until you had bubbles coming back up through the vent? When I filled mine it reset on it's own.

I think the speedometer is off between 3-5mph slow. I had my neighbor clock me (LEO) and his readings matched my GPS.

I didnt mean it in comparing to mine, or in a bad way, I would love to have an 11 but not right now, just courious what the milage is with the two together.

the urea doesn't get added in with the fuel, it has a separate 5 gallon tank for that. Mine was filled to the brim on my last oil change and I am about 2300 miles from the next oil change being due and the tank still hasn't shown 1/2 full yet. It supposed to last 7500 miles, I think when topped of, it will.

Re: Hand Calculated Mileage figures, post them here!

I have seen a high of (hand calculated) 22+ MPG on the highway with the speed kept at 65 , over 70 it drops to 18+. With all city driving I average almost 17.
