The computer said 17.2 mpg, told me I has used 16.69 gallons of fuel and it had been on for 8.47 hours.

also for those who asked about fill up time, it took .32 gallons after the first click to top it off.

I am going about 400 miles tomorrow gonna set the cruise at 70 and see what it will do.

Post up your hand calculated numbers, FWIW, my truck has almost 1200 miles on it.
It's really hard to compare mileage on fill ups. I can sometimes squeeze in slowly an extra 2 1/2 gallons if I have the patience.

I don't even bother topping off. I usually only can get less than a half gallon in after the pump shuts off.

You have to have an older body style, (I guess we'll call them "Mid years?" Since there are "OBS" then mine,, then the new ones!)
Anyway, I have not heard of anyone putting in even a gallon after the click off on the 11's...... I also can do up to 4gal after the click depending circumstances.
I have never "Harpooned" my 03,,, since I have 88 gallons on board with my 50gal aux tank/tool box. I never saw the need to get that extra 3-4 gallons in there!
I did harpoon my 99. And it was great!

However, even when I get one of these, I will top it for my mileage figures,,, accuracy is important!

More accurate to always just stop at the first click.

Hand calculated loaded with a 38' gooseneck and a 1950 Pepsi Cola delivery truck 11-13 MPG. That hotrod is all solid steel my best guess for total weight on the truck with trailer and hotrod ~15,000lbs

Re: Hand Calculated Mileage figures, post them here!

after my new AFE intake installed, I filled up to the brim, had 4 regens and filled up today, hand calculated mileage was 17.4mpg which is up about 1mpg from what I was typically getting before the intake. This was about a 50/50 split with highway and city driving. With a road trip, I think it would be even better.

I usually add a shot of Power Service if I remember. Hasn't seemed to make a difference.

Re: Hand Calculated Mileage figures, post them here!

I am getting hand calculated mileage, with the AFE Intake, 35x12.5x20 tires, right around the 17.6 mpg and that is with city driving and highway. Thought the slightly bigger tires would make a bit of a difference but I maybe lost .5 if that.
But the tires are only 1" bigger than stock only a little heavier
