I am not certain there is an elected official that truely understand how it is suppose to work.

Re: Three Branches of Government: House, Senate, President

The 3 branches of Government are supposed to be Judicial, Executive, Legislature.

Something like the Legislature represents local interests and brings laws up for debate. Executive Branch is the general direction of the nation and has authority to stop the Legislature, but no ability to push rules or laws w/o them. And the Federal Supreme Court is there to verify that it is all legal but should be influenced by none and be completely apolitical w/ their only guiding light being the Constitution.

I'm officially...Stroke-less.

In a nut shell... the legislative branch makes the laws, the executive branch enforces the laws, and the judicial branch interprets the laws.
