If Congress passes the tax deal as set today an individuals SS tax rate will go from 6.2% to 4.2%. What will you do with your "raise"?

Mine will go directly into my 401k....with that I MIGHT actually be able to hit the limit on contributions for the first time in 4 years. WOO HOO!!!

Your profile says that you're in the military.

He didn't freeze military pay.

I'm confused.

.

I am in the Army National Guard, my full time job is a Federal Technichan position with the military.
SO... my weekends and 2 week training pay will still increase, but my M-F job will not go up. I'm paid just like any other federal employee there.

Yeah, the Military gets a raise, the smallest raise they have ever gotten.
