He's reaching because he is in a corner. He is pissing off all his boys on the far left while doing it. Politically....he's pretty much done come 2012.

Re: ATTA'Boy Barry!

It's a compromise that just raises the deficit even more.

Both sides are guilty of the same old crap. The same old Dems are in w/ their give away free $ and poorly thought out policies. And the same old Repubs are in w/ their take from the poor give to the rich, and don't pay for any of it policies. Nothing has changed one bit. The Tea Party has just proven how irrelevent they are as they created NO fiscal responsibility in the Rep party. Not one spending cut in the entire effin thing. Just spend spend spend some more $.

So both sides got together and said we can both get what we want and no one has to pay for anything...yet.

In this recession I don't know what else Barry could have done as the Repubs were holding the middle class hostage. It was just too risky in this economy to let those tax cuts for the middle class expire.

The Repubs are beholden to their multi-National corporate donors and the Faux News faithful. Dems are beholden to the working poor and their Trial lawyer donors. Barry is the only one that is beholden to the Middle Class. Completely different goals and perspectives by all parties involved.

I'm officially...Stroke-less.

Exactly right.

The Repub's refused to keep the Bush era tax cuts for 98% of Americans............. if it didn't also include the top 2% of taxpayers.

Since we've consistently heard how that is the primary group that supposedly creates jobs (hard to understand why it hasn't quite worked out that way so far )........we should see things become rosy pretty soon.

.

Never have so many politicians, screwed so many Americans...just to make one black person lose his job.

Re: ATTA'Boy Barry!

First Read - Bush tax cuts just 37 percent of the total deal

Quote:
A $120 billion Social Security payroll tax cut in 2011, with the rate being cut from 6.2 percent of earned income to 4.2 percent. For a worker making $60,000 a year, this would result in an additional $1,200 in take-home pay.
$56 billion in additional unemployment insurance benefits for 13 months.
$40 billion in tax cuts for families and students, including a two-year extension of the American Opportunity tax credit which helps families
pay college tuitions, which was part of last year's stimulus.
