Re: Mexican Drug Cartels control parts of Arizona

A real shame Bush took control of the National Guard....maybe Obama will give control back to the Governors.

Bush wouldnt have let it get that far. Count on that. He wouldnt have essentially given up a portion of a states land to illegals

Bush is the one that raped the control of the National Guard from the Governors. He then continued to rape the National Guard and call them up for that war in Iraq.

If the National Guard control had been left in the hands of the Governors & they had not been called up for Iraq the Governor of AZ could call up the Guard to protect AZ land.

Don't get me wrong, Obama could send the Guard in to take control but just like the bail outs Bush put everything into motion. Obama is just business as usual.

Just like the housing market Clinton put into place Bush can be blamed for his inaction, Obama's inaction makes him just as responsible in this mess.

IIRC though the governors can recall their states national guard troops if necessary as part of that

But when POTUS calls them up and sends them to Iraq or Afganistan resources become very limited.

Not really. because when a governor calls them back any and all resources that went with them can come back too
