Makes me want to puke that not just this administration but others just act like it is no big deal that the borders aren't secure.

So how do you plan to stop them?

What about that pesky Canadian border?

The idea of "border security" is a joke. There's no such thing as a 100% secure border. It has never existed in human history.

Will a wall stop all of them? no. Will a wall stop more than no wall? yes. When we have a million people a year invading us from the north we can address that issue then. Until then let's focus on the problem we have at hand.

Which problem?

The "problem" in the video was terrorists crossing along with illegals.

So what's to stop a terrorist from crossing from Canada?

A wall won't stop a terrorist. And don't kid yourself, it won't stop illegal immigration either.

While I agree with your points, what are you proposing we do about it then? Don't you agree it is time we do something?

The ONLY way to stop illegals, is to stop the reason they come here.

Definitely Matt, we can do something, and we should do something. No doubt about it. I just think some of the approaches proposed and some already in place aren't working and won't work.

First step though is not living in constant fear. Building a wall around our country is nothing more than fear mongering. I personally refuse to live in constant fear, afraid of illegals, afraid of terrorists, and praying that our government builds a wall to "protect" us. To me, that's just not a logical solution.

As for the problem with terrorists, that will not go away easily, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. We have foreign terrorists, and we have domestic terrorists. Foreign terrorists have crossed at the Mexican border, at the Canadian border, have come on boats and ships, and have even flown into this country legally on commercial flights. So there's really no way to stop a determined terrorist from getting in this country if they really want to. They have so many options, and a wall won't do any good. What we have yet to address as a country is WHY they are so hell bent on getting into this country and blowing something up. Why aren't the same terrorists stopping in Mexico and blowing things up?

I don't have a definite answer for that. There are many theories out there, many of which might be very valid, but it seems that we as a nation don't have the want to publicly ask the question "why", nor address the "why" with other nations either. Yes there are many terrorist groups in existence all over the world, but why do they want to target the U.S? Knowing the answer to that question will help us to better combat terrorist getting into our country and wrecking havoc.

Re: U.S. Border Security.............

Stopping the flow of money from here to mexico is the first major step. Require proof of citizenship or a valid green card system to be allow to western union money back to mexico. That would cut down on a ton of the problem of illegals and will also solve a large part of the money leaving here and returning to mexico.
