gun rights question

So I am a gun owner, and 100% in favor of the right to bear arms, but have always wondered where a line should be drawn between guns and serious firepower, like WMD's.

Anyone here think they have the right to own a nuke? If you do, lets hear it. What do you think should not be available to the public?

Re: gun rights question

i would have to say no to the weapons of mass destruction in my or anyone elses gun cabinet.I DO believe everyone has the right to protect themselfs. this BS about a thief coming into your house and putting you in danger then gettting charged with manslaughter when you shoot his a$$ is unacceptable!

Re: gun rights question

Nuke? Hell no I don't feel anyone has the right to one. Things like TNT, C4 should be left how they are. My old neighbor used to have an explosive lisce & would blow up stumps all the time with it.

I personally feel that silencers/sound suppressors should be legal. They sell them in europe over the counter because they can give you a ticket for disturbing the peace. Full autos I feel should have the restrictions eased alittle but that's a state issue. Federal law claims we can have them but each state sets their own laws acording to how they feel it should be.

Re: gun rights question

No on the nukes, but i think all americans have the right to protect themselves and thier families. I have no problem with someone owning a pistol or assault rifles, yes i think if you own an automatic Assault Rifle, it should be registered and you should have to undergo a full background check, the proper training and hold a license for it.

Re: gun rights question

I like a post I saw that said 69,xxx,xxx gun owners shot noone today. That says alot. WMD's? No way. BUT that being said, anyone with any training can come up with one. Now with THAT being said. If you need anything more than a bang bang to defend yourself, you're probably in deep doo doo and did something you shouldn't have.

Guy asked me the other day, if you get into it with someone, which pistol would you carry? I said.....A RIFLE!

Re: gun rights question

I think it would be cool to own a fully armed B1B.

If only those who knew what they were talking about replied, this thread would still be on page one.

Exactly, handgun is just to fight your way to the long gun.
