Obama Celebrating Ramadan Tuesday

Obama Celebrating Ramadan Tuesday

Time Magazine, by Mike Memoli

A noteworthy update to President Obama's light schedule this week, considering the rumors about his religion that lingered throughout the 2008 campaign. From the White House guidance for Tuesday: In the evening, the President will host a dinner celebrating Ramadan and highlight the contributions of American Muslims in the State Dining Room. The President's remarks will be pooled press.

ROFL

You guys realize that George W. Bush also hosted the same ramadan dinners at the White House, and also "highlighted contributions of American muslims".

Funny, Bush does this, and no one cares. In fact, it's ignored. Obama does it, and suddenly people accuse him of being a closet muslim.

Sure he did and he also ignored American religious days to include the national Day of Prayer....

Hypocrisy is not just a liberal thing, Conservatives are just better at hiding their hypocrisies.

I'm sure this thread will turn into a "This is a Christian Nation" bitchfest real soon.

Really, you think that?

Obama did observe National Day of Prayer. In fact, he observed it in the same manner as Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and other presidents, by signing a proclamation. This tradition began with Truman in 1952. George W. Bush was the only one who held a service every year, and put more emphasis on it than his predecessors... including his own father.

Yet because Obama didn't hold a service just like ol' W (yet still signed a proclamation like all the other presidents before him), he was accused of snubbing the National Day of Prayer by biased media sources.

Seriously dude, do some research rather than slinging around baseless accusations and trying to blow something way out of proportion.
