Clunker going down...

Here's a vid of what appears to be a perfectly good engine being ruined for this "Cash for Clunkers" program..

I'm not very happy that my tax dollars are paying for this stupid, wasteful program.

I would think so but isn't Chrysler matching the 4500 the gov pays out? Maybe that's why they did it, so they could get twice as much...

Re: Clunker going down...

Did you watch some of the other vids related to that? The dealership guys seem to be making a game out of destroying what seem to be good running engines.

Please explain how is this fraud in your opinion. Its an early 90's model Volvo over 10 years old. Without proper info as to the model, year and mileage it's pure speculation on your part. The car very well could have been worth less than $4500

Re: Clunker going down...

takin a perfectly good car that probably gets 20 plus and ruining it was not part of the plan. and ruining it to make it a clunker is wrong maybe fraud was not the right word. didnt mean to offend you i will try to use more sarcaism next time i suggest turnin any one in to the govt. and by running the plate you would get model and a simple google search would get you the milage granted no way to know what it was traded for.
