LMAO, Walker is actually winning by 5pts more right now than he did in 2010

Re: WI: Walker emerges victorious

Now I wanna know how the left plans on paying for this senseless recall. Did we or did we not cover the term insanity?????? Did they really expect to see a different result????? We Wisconsinites have spoken and in the larger scale of things, the silent majority have spoken. That lady was exactly right back in 2008, we are the sleeping giant and we have awakened. I am sick and tired of the whiners and their senselss agenda. Now I am serving cups of shut the hell ups!!! Get to work like the rest of us and do you damn job!

I don't actually know what 'Right to Collective Bargaining' even is. Does it simply mean a group of people (collective) can negotiate (bargain) as a group to reach their goals?

Can someone knowledgable on the subject please explain?

It is where they (the union) can bargain a raise increase, pension increase, medical benefits etc etc.

Suns, make sure you read where FDR stood on public colletive bargaining, which he was against and explains why. I will agree with FDR on that one. I really don't agree with any union in any workplace. That is my stance period.

Re: WI: Walker emerges victorious

At the onset, unions were a good thing for working people. They put an end to child labor, unfair labor practices, and brought many safety issues to light. Undoubtedly, they helped the American laborer. However, as with many institutions, greed and graft soon crept in and so began the downhill slide. Strong-arm tactics and violence defined many of the larger unions.
I remember many years ago, there was a nationwide teamster's strike. I saw trucks just pulled off the side of the road and abandoned. Even the independent drivers quit driving for fear of retaliation from the union members.
I was in the IAM for years, I got tired of watching them protect a bunch of dead-beat jerks that wouldn't hit a lick at their jobs because the union protected them. I always thought they should police their own ranks, it never happened.
