Another Double Standard

Capitalism Akbar.

Excellent point here Ė but of course, Hasan, didnít offend Afghanistan

After reading the headlines about the US soldier who shot up Afghanistan "civilians", I couldn't help noticing an irony. There is all this clamor (SecDef) to try this guy quickly and execute him, never mind his having suffered a traumatic brain injury. Yet this Major Hasan, who shot up Fort Hood while screaming Allah A kbar, still hasn't stood trial, and they are still debating whether he was insane, even with the clear evidence regarding his motive: slay as many infidels as possible. So we have a guy in a war zone who cracks, and he must be executed immediately. But this Muslim psychiatrist who was stateside in a nice safe office all day murders 13, wounds 29 of our own guys, and they try to argue the poor lad suffered post-traumatic stress syndrome, from listening to real soldiers who had actual battle experience. Two and a half years later, they still haven't tried the murderous basturd.

I'm just a bit ashamed that I haven't come to this realisation before now. These dip sticks that are manning the helm need to be ousted and or deported and replaced with competent people that are there for a short while (TERM LIMITS!) and then replaced by more competent people (SHORT TERM) whose concerns are the health and security of this country and not soley theirs and their heirs. And why does the media immediatley jump on the extravagances of the "tyrant of the day" and not a word said about the extravagances of our own "cheif" and his clique not to mention the unknown costs to keep the lesser reps "appeased". The head nut has two Boeing 747's at his disposal just for starters. This sort of bull has been going on for some years now and the Air Force Ones came into being with FDR. It just seems to grow exponentially from president to president. Are we good with this? Do I need to say it quietly that I, for one, am not?

Re: Another Double Standard

So the clamor of American's to kill Hasan after Foot Hood just goes completely ignored?

Because that is precisely the basis of what you posted. You have on the Afghan side people who want to see the U.S. soldier pay for his crimes. Yet the conclusion for the U.S. version is to ignore that very same fact, and instead focus on the "trial" side of what has or has not transpired. Nevermind that it completely ignores the "trial" side of the U.S. soldier, and what has or has not transpired there too.

Do you even understand what you write? The American Soldier that shot and killed innocent Afghans is expected to be rushed to trial, yet Hasan hasn't even been tried yet for killing innocent american soldiers and civilians. So it is Ok to succumb to foreign pressure, but not our own.

You completely missed it.

We... the American people... also clamored to "rush" Hasan to trial.

And there is NOTHING there of us trying to "succumb" to foreign pressure. That is simply your biased, lying, opinion.

I have a simple question, which one of the two will see trial in the shortest time from the crime? Why do you think that is?

Entrepreneurs and their small enterprises are responsible for almost all the economic growth in the United States.
