New Nuclear Reactors APPROVED

Plant Vogtle nuclear expansion approved 4-1 | ajc.com

Quote:
The first newly approved nuclear reactors in 33 years will be built in Georgia.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission signed off Thursday on Atlanta-based Southern Co.ís request to build two 1,100-megawatt reactors at its Plant Vogtle site in Burke County.

Commissioners voted 4-1 to approve the project. NRC Chairman Gregory Jaczko, who has supported the project throughout the process, dissented, saying he was concerned that the reactors would not meet certain safety requirements put in place since Japan's Fukushima Daiichi accident.

Re: New Nuclear Reactors APPROVED

I think they shouldn't build it, they should use a bunch of useless solar panels instead.

It looks like 4 out of 5 people used logic, I hope it doesn't catch on, USA will be really fuk'd up then.

Entrepreneurs and their small enterprises are responsible for almost all the economic growth in the United States.
