I am slowly coming up with the conclusion that we are on the brink of starting a holy war here? I continously hear on the news that the pledge is being banned, God is being taken out etc etc and people are getting very frustrated. The incident in Norway has seemed to reveal a hidden frustration. I may be full of chit, but something inside me tells me that something is brewing. I am concerned for my kids. However, I feel like we are slowly becoming boxed in. Enuf on that.
I feel like that guy in Norway is just a deranged psychopath trying to make an excuse for his retardation. Christians are not called to kill people in the name of Jesus. Instead, we are called show love to others, even if they don't agree with our beliefs.
We aren't anywhere near any kind of worldwide "holy war". The pledge isn't being banned all over the country, and God isn't being removed. That's simply a bunch of wingnuts on air and typing in blogs trying to make money selling misinformation.
The pledge was recently re-banned at a private Christian college. Suddenly that's a threat to the nation? No, it isn't. Considering the pledge was already banned for most of the school's history decade after decade.
God is being removed? Correction, God was inserted in the 50's as a some sort of propaganda against communism during the Cold War. It was inserted into the pledge of allegiance, and added to the currency. The battle over whether or not it's appropriate for those additions is not any new fight. It's been going on since day one. The idea that all of a sudden now people are trying to remove God is ignoring decades worth of American history.
Sensationalism and misinformation is far more dangerous than any other threat we face right now. Unfortunately, it's causing some people to think we are on the brink of destruction.

No none can remove God or kill him. Just because you don't believe or refuse his existence doesn't mean he dies. If I quit believe y'all exist will you die or otherwise stop being? I've never met you nor have I talked directly to you yet I believe in you by the evidence left in your words, even though you don't actually write them on my screen.
Absence of God only hurts us.
