2008 f250 shifter alignment???

Hey all,
Just had the body shop remove my dash board and steering column to fix a leak. Now the gear shift selector won't line up with the grooves its supposed to fall into when selecting D. I have to pull back on the gear selector arm and feel for the groove.
Is there an alignment adjustment that got messed up?
Please help.

there is an adjustment under the dash on the end of the shift tube, and also one under the truck at the trans.

Are there instructions on how to adjust it?

not sure.
the one inside is two torx bolts. the one under the truck at the trans you need to disconnect the shift cable, set the shifter in park, make sure the trans in in park, then reconnect the cable.
