Fuel cooler info needed

Just getting ready to do the full flush and refill of the main cooling system with an ELC like most have already done. Just curious if anyone is doing the same on the fuel cooler system? Or just leaving the OEM gold coolant in the fuel cooling system? New truck to me so trying to catch up on basic servicing. Not much info out there on the fuel cooling system, except for post around year 2010, so looking for an updated recommendation.

I run ELC in my fuel cooler as well. Did the swap when I did my coolant flush also. Quite easy as well. Just make sure to invert the cooler to get air bubbles out. I also used a turkey baster pressed into one of the lines that feed the cooler to “force” air bubbles and clean out the system. If you get air trapped the pump will make a horrible screech. Some of my pipe inlets were starting to corrode away when I checked it so I did the flush. Pick up a new fuel cooler cap as well, they lose their pressure rating and allow the fuel to get warmer than it should. Can throw a CEL with time.

Thanks for the tips. There is currently green coolant in there right now, not sure why, but its definitely green. I have been having a fairly loud squeal on acceleration from about 1200rpm to 2200rpm. Happens about 90 percent of the time. Reservoir is kinda low too, about a half inch below the sight glass bottom, so maybe there is air in the system already? I have good boost, no exhaust up pipe leaks and no obvious exhaust manifold gasket leaks. Maybe a serpentine belt tensioner, but no chirps at idle at all.
