08 6.4 Transmission issue

I have an 08 F-350 6.4 deleted with a SCT Livewire TS+ tuner. About a week ago i was getting a rough shift from gears 2 to 3. Along with the codes P0760 (shift solenoid C) and P0763 (shift solenoid C electrical). I went through and tested the ohms of all the solenoids and they all came tested within range. I also could not see any obvious damage to the harness. i ended up replacing solenoid C and the truck ran well for a day or 2 with no sighs of an issue. Then while accelerating from a stop light the rough shifting came back and the truck is throwing the same codes. Sense its the same symptoms and codes Im not sure where to start this time. Any suggestions?

You probably have an issue with the intermediate clutch or intetmediate piston.
Was there any metal in the pan when you had it off?

Where are you located? I do transmission work if it comes to that and if you’re interested shoot me a PM

No metal in the pan or on the magnet. The truck does get used for snow plowing also.

You can load test the wires from the TCM under the drivers floorboard under the truck to the TCM harness for the intermediate clutch solenoid. If they can carry current then your issue is likey mechanical.

I’ll send you a PM

Re: 08 6.4 Transmission issue

Learn how to "feather" the go pedal, not just hammer down. I have a Suncoast and one by Brian's and both will slam shift with every tune (two 6.4's, ten tunes) if I just mash the pedal down.

Re: 08 6.4 Transmission issue

Matthewd11 thanks for the help but i have a much over due update on the truck. Surprisingly enough the shifting issue had nothing to do with my driving technique. i ended up replacing the transmission harness and have not had an issue since.
