Re: 97 f350 cclb resto/build/project

Havent got a whole lot done on the truck yet. Been busy with harvest, school, and bow hunting, but hopefully this christmas break is when im really going to rip it apart. So far just have got a few things done. Pillar gauges installed. Next going to work on the body work. Have a new fender for the one side and just ordered a new cab corner. Im not sure if ill be able to save the rear door or not. Ill post some pictures of that later for some input on weather its worth saving or better to just get a new door. Ive never really done any body work before so....

Re: 97 f350 cclb resto/build/project

Think I can save the door? I think that the edge of it is straight, for the most part, but in the one picture it looks like its bent a ton but thats because the cab corner was just flattened. I think...

Re: 97 f350 cclb resto/build/project

Well this evening me and a friend decided to try and pull out the door. Was planning on getting a new one so I figured if we screw up I'm not out anything. But for a couple first timers it turned out really good. So I don't even have to get a new one which means more cash for more parts lol

Re: 97 f350 cclb resto/build/project

I got the new fender on and now just have a little bit of sanding left before I'm ready to paint. I really want to have it primed before Christmas break is over so hopefully within a week

Re: 97 f350 cclb resto/build/project

I'm getting a lot closer to paint. All that's left is to tape. I got the bed pulled. I just got the frame and under cab under coated. Tomorrow I'm going toput in that larger rear fuel tank . And then I'm just waiting on my rear leaf springs to arrive. Went toput the rear lift block in and what do you know but one of my leafs had snapped in half .

Well I got the new leaf springs put under her and the fuel tank for the most part put in, I just am waiting for a part for that. I've also got her all taped up and ready to paint, which I'm going to do tomorrow. I'm getting kinda excited to have it done.
