Question How to get smell out of truck carpet?

My mom was driving my little sisters truck about a week ago and spilled a gallon of milk on the floor, she didnt clean it up and didnt bother to tell anyone to clean it up. Now we cant get the smell of nasty rotting milk to go away! Is there anyway to get the carpet cleaned that will get rid of the smell? Or would it just be easier to buy a new carpet and replace it? We have tried a carpet cleaner in a can from napa and that didnt help, what about getting it steam cleaned? I didnt realize how bad it was until my dad made me drive it this morning, its TERRIBLE!

Thanks!

I had the same happen in my old F-150. I cut the carpet out, cleaned the floor, and ordered a new one.

Yea, i imagine we will be ordering a new carpet, theres no sense in paying someone to steam clean if were just gonna eventually have to replace it.

That does suck. But I have to ask why the hell there is an open gallon of milk in the truck to begin with?
