Fading paint on painted grill

I was using graffiti remover and a magic eraser to remove white and blue paint that the previous owner painted on my truck, and it has seemed to eat into the clearcoat. How can I fix this? image.jpg

Re: Fading paint on painted grill

I would think paint over it with the black and clear coat and it should look brand new again.

Re: Fading paint on painted grill

Not sure what you mean by how to tape it off, but if you're considering painting only a small part of the grill with that, don't. Remove the grill and repaint the entire thing.

In the future, leave the magic erasers for household stuff. They are an abrasive.
