Correct way to clean fake wood grain?

I have a 2003 Larait F-250 4dr and it has the fake wood grain on the dash and the doors. Now what the correct way to make look clean and shiny again? Someone said just take multi-purpose cleaner to it or armor all. Is this right? Any advice will be great thanks!

With the armor all do you wipe off the excess so it doesnt leave any residue? My friend did used armor all wipes on his and it left some residue and you can tell how he wiped it on their.

if theres excess just take a clean paper towel and wipe the excess off, thats all i do and it doesnt leave any residue or marks/streaks. Keeps it nice and shiny.

I just wipe mine off with a damp towel to clean it, and then apply a very small amount of polish (like carnuba (spl?) wax) something very non-abrasive, let it set and buff it off with a microfiber towel.
