Clean up wheels

Just traded a guy for a set of 02 xlt wheels. They're the ones with the holes an the clear is coming off in quite a few places. I'm just looking to paint them so what's the easiest way to get that crap off and get them ready for paint. Not sure where else I should have out this question in te forum so its going here.

Re: Clean up wheels

Get the aircraft paint stripper from Walmart and some sandpaper to knock the corrosion off. I wouldn't use any rougher than 220 or 240. Then go as fine as u want to get desired texture.
