Last time I checked, ITP didn't do it anymore. He can tell you who coats them for him though.

Re: TEFLON COATED STACKS

Any special reason for the teflon coating?

Re: TEFLON COATED STACKS

it can withstand the heat that comes off of the exhaust. powerdercoating is only baked on at around 400 degrees and i tends to change color when it gets to hot.

Re: TEFLON COATED STACKS

It doesnt need to be teflon...

they have high temp powder coating which is good up to 1000 degrees...much better then the normal 300 degree limit on normal powder coat. If your stacks get hotter than that...i dont wanna know how hot your truck is.

Powder coating is much cheaper then teflon coating.

Look here under their warranty part for more info

http://www.eastcoastpowdercoating.co...nformation.htm

Just as a side note...these guys have charged me a few months ago about 110$ for the high temp stuff to coat a 6" stack...dunno if that was a good price or not...but with the money you can save on buying a stack that is unfinished steel...i didnt think it was bad.

Re: TEFLON COATED STACKS

When I wanted to switch to a black stack I just bought a piece of 6" plain exhaust pipe cut the top and painted it with flat black woodstove paint. It's worked great for a year now. No color change, bubbling or flaking.
