Clay Bar

Anyone looking to clean up their paint, remove surface scratches and imperfections, a Clay Bar is the way to go. Bought a small clay bar, detailing spray, and wax from Mothers today and spent some time on the new 2wd truck tonight.

223,000 miles on that truck and I bet it's never seen wax before. A little elbow grease with that clay bar and the paint has that deep looking shine to it that only brand new trucks in the show room have. Paint is smooth as glass now, looks awesome too.

Really isn't that much work involved in it either. The results are well worth the effort.

Re: Clay Bar

Hmmm. I've got some crap in my paint, and a couple different clay bars in the shop. maybe if I can keep the 'ol girl running long enough I'll do a little clay bar action before weekend on the edge this coming weekend...

Clay is amazing stuff. I have used the Mothers stuff in the past and want to try Adams this next time around.

Re: Clay Bar

I got the Mothers kit at Wal-Mart. Came as a complete kit in one little box with the clay bar, detail spray, and wax. Was like $12.

Just spent the evening clay barring and waxing my crew cab. That stuff kicks ass. Better than showroom condition
