Cool Best way to paint the plastic valance on front bumper.

I was thinking about painting the gray plastic piece on my front bumper black. What would be the best way and best paint to use?

I'm talking about this piece. If paints not a good idea is there a polish to bring the black back?

I used a Turtle Wax product that was made for plastic that worked pretty good on mine. I am interested in painting mine also though so I would also like to know if you can paint it with good results.

What I have done to all the plastic parts on my truck is clean them really good, then scuff it with a gray scuff pad like 3m brand. Then wipe it down with degreaser and spay them with SEM brand spray paint. I've had the best luck with that brand.

Re: Best way to paint the plastic valance on front bumper.

The more I look for info the more it seems it would be a pain to sand, etch, prime, paint. I'm going to see what I can find for a black polish and try that first, but if anyone has tips or tricks on how to paint this piece please post it up! pics too!

I bought some Mothers back to black today. It's raining out now so I will try it tomorrow and let you all know how it goes.

Mine is painted white and seems to hold up pretty good. A good adhesion promoter is key

lots of 6.4's and a few 6.0's

Could you tell me how you painted yours, a step by step guide? What exact products did you use. Could you also post a pic? I'm new to painting plastic.
