Cleaning bugs off.....

Any ideas on what I can use to help dad get all the "bugs" and stuff off his front bumper, the fiberglass or plastic part, been through the car wash a few times now and not all of it comes off, thanks

Re: Cleaning bugs off.....

Here's my solution.

First, I try washing it by hand with my bug removal sponge (sponge wrapped in net, can be found at most auto parts stores).

If that doesn't work, try spraying some Purple Power on it, and letting it sit for about 30 seconds (not too long, it is very powerful) and then wash with the sponge.

If that doesn't work, detailing clay (in my case, I use the NanoSkin AutoScrub, an alternative to handheld claying, it uses a Dual Action) should get it off.

If this doesn't work, you'll need to be compounding and polishing.

Re: Cleaning bugs off.....

In a pinch one time at a relatives house, I used oxyclean dissolved in hot water and it worked very well.
