Chrome Stripping

Hey everyone, i was looking to paint my chrome bumpers black and i was wondering what was the best method for stripping the chrome off. Ive heard people that sanded them or used special liquids for stripping or just send them off to a professional. thanks for your input!

Re: Chrome Stripping

I would just buy paintable bumpers an not mess with it. Front is $220 and back is $200 on auto parts warehouse.

If you still want to.... the way I did my chrome wheels was sandblast them first. Get as much if not all you can off before primer.
