Re: clay bar...

You should really do it right after, but I don't think it will be a big deal. I did that a few times with my old car.

Re: clay bar...

just clay and wax small sections at a time..

such as fenders..then doors..then bedsides..thats how I did mine..seemed alot easier..I got burned out real fast but the end result was very well worth it..

You should really do it all at the same time. Claying doesn`t really take that long. You should check out some Adam`s products before you do it , man there stuff ROCKS!!!

Re: clay bar...

if you do it right, it does take a long time. not to mention he has a crew cab long bed dually. i did matt's truck with help from him half assing it, and we spent a good 6 hours on it. and his is a shortbus.

Re: clay bar...

I think you would be fine if the truck was inside where it was not dusty to clay one day and they wax the next day. I also found that is did not take all that long to clay the truck and was happy with the results.

Re: clay bar...

Does one of the small pieces of clay do the whole truck? Or does it get all gummed up? Can you only use the clay once or can you use it on another vehicle? What kits are you guys using? Mequires? Mothers? Adams?

Re: clay bar...

I will definatly get Adams next time...the Adama bar is 2.5 times the size of the Meguires and Mothers bars for about the same price....and better product from what I have heard...

I am useing the mothers bar... it is only a tiny 80 gram bar... I split it in half.... this first half has done the whole passenger side (and my truck is BAD + its a CC LB Dually) and i think it will do at least the tailgate and MAYBE the hood...
so yes it should...

I dont see why you couldnt use it on another car but I am no expert....

but I say GO ADAMS!!

Re: clay bar...

I guess it would take along time if you don`t keep your truck very clean. I keep mine pretty clean and it doesn`t take that long to do. Again I don`t think 5-6 hours is really all that long. Adam`s is the way to go though!!
