waxing winsheild?

my little brother just told me his friend waxed his windsheild and it came out great. he used regulaer car wax. isnt there some special window wax for that? i dont wanna do to my truck and ruin the windsheild.

I would use RainX or AquaPel. Can't see the point of waxing it.

They do make polishes for auto glass it is a multiple step deal to take out minor scratches.

I just use what ever im waxing the rest of the truck with. To me it seems like the wax makes it shine more and makes the water bead up and run off.

we used to always wax the windsheilds of our cars years ago. it works great and maybe better than rainX. (I need a step stool to do my truck so i never do it anymroe.) we used to use regular turtle wax or any kind of carnuaba wax. water beads up so nicely in a rain storm you don't even need to use your wipers.

I us this glass cleaning clay and it is the BEST thing I have ever done to the windshield.
It makes a WORLD of difference, the best $20 you could spend.
