Best shop/repair manual for a shade tree mechanic

I recenctly bought a '97 F250HD with a 7.3l. It has 310, 000 miles on it but it's still a working truck that has to haul 4-5 tons on moderately hilly roads a few times a week. Its also my daily driver until January.
It's in decent shape as far as I can tell but shakes and rattles while it rolls.

First, I would like to do as much of the 200,000 maintenance as possible myself, then I want to fix up targets of opportunity like the driver's door, fiel tank sensor, interior lights, arm rests... 300K mile stuff.

I'm a passable mechanic but no pro by any means, this is the first diesel I've ever wanted to work on.

Should I buy Ford Shop Manuals? Haynes? Chiltons? Something else? All of them?

I have more questions but I'll try to put them in the appropriate spots.

Thanks.
