I have a 2015 F250 with 6.7, 22k miles ( no warranty other than emissions) it shut down and would not restart until some time later, no cel or oil light, when it started it has a severe knock. Engine has not been removed or torn down yet. What needs to be changed on a 2017 6.7 engine to replace it ? thanks
Yes, I replaced it with a 2018 engine. got the engine mounts with the engine, used the 18 turbo and egr. Only problems the lower wiring harness plugs are different and the top (pcm)harness does not have the connection for the crankcase vent. sensor so I get a P04E3 code and check eng light. So if you go that route ,change both harness's before you put it in.
