All good points...

And a minimum time or post count here.

I agree with price posted, and minimum number of posts. You can lock or remove any ad now. All you have to do is hit the report post button and ask.

Re: Request change to Classifieds

What about posting a picture of the item and a piece of paper with the user name on it? It seemed to keep the trolls out of the classifieds on another forum I was on.

That would probably be avoided by just requiring a post count.

Re: Request change to Classifieds

Some forums require a picture (of the ACTUAL item, and not from another website) before anything is posted.

I too agree with everyone else.

This can be done, but us as mods have a lot to go through each day, we each have a section to maintain, also we don't have a lot of mods like other forums do. So we all surf through the different section editing, moving, closing, monitoring threads, if a sale has been sold or needs to be closed the seller can shoot any one of the moderators and ask to be closed.

This probably won't happen due to the fact that we can't separate the other option that only mods have the ability. The tab you are referring to also has move, close, stick, merge etc. Like I said above if a seller is done making a sale he or she can shoot us a pm. Another option is to report the post but stating in a sentence please close due to item being sold.

Re: Request change to Classifieds

I love the idea of getting rid of "feeler threads" and a minimum post count to post but posts in classifieds shouldn't count towards that minimum

That would suck due to the fact my camera in the lowest setting the pics are too big to load directly to the site without editing and I am lazy
