I think the security companies pay people to send viruses just so they can sell you their crap. Honestly, are there THAT many people out there that just want to wipe out your hard drive for fun? I figure 80% of the bugs are paid for by the anti-virus/ security companies. If they were truly after your confidential info, you would never know it was a problem, till it was too late.
JMO anyway. I cant see a hacker who wants your bank account numbers announcing his presence by making your crap act stupid, or lock up. At least I wouldnt if it were me. I'd keep it on the downlow as long as possible and get all the info I could. makes no since to crash your stuff, then ya get nothing.

Of course what do I know. I do good to log into my e-mail haha
I'm with you on this one. If I was smart enough to gather info like that? I damm sure wouldn't waste my time on a couple people's PC's, I'd be going after HUGE company databases. I really have no interest in seeing your drunk wife's boobs, or your $50 savings account. I would be after the BIG $$! HAHAHA

Re: Trojan Horse on the site

Well guys, just got the Registry Defender popup, again. This is the only site I'm getting this. I just paid $129 to get a virus off my 'puter. Don't need to do that again. The problems I was having, started here. I don't want to quit this site, but don't want anymore problems either.

I'm open for ANY suggestions. Have any of the MODS found anything? It almost seems this site is being targeted, is that possible, or even likely?

Another nonaligned spokesperson.

Good stuff, trucks bring it!

I don't care if my thread goes off topic, it's all BS anyway!!!

You got spyware problems. Check it out. http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6132_102...hreadID=238272
Go here, http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html, download, install, update and run Spybot. If that doesn't work....
I think you can be pretty sure that it's not an issue with this site.

Re: Trojan Horse on the site

Quit looking at porn sites

Seriously think about it.If there was a problem with the site EVERYONE! Would have the same issue.I like malwarebytes for getting rid of that crap. Also use a program ccleaner to rid the registry of BS not necessarily spyware. Both can be found on cnet.com and are free to use

Re: Trojan Horse on the site

More spyware comes from myspace and facebook than from porn sites. At work, we have all social networking locked out. However, employees can look at porn to their hearts desire. Have not had a virus or spyware since we did that. We have also made the employees aware, if a virus gets in, and it is found to come frome their computer through a porn site, they need to find a job.
