PSN admin, staff, mods, ect...

Thanks for the great site,... But is there any way possible that someone here can clean up the site a little bit.

Searching around in classifieds there are still a lot of items posted that are marked as sold, and taking up space.

And there are a lot of unread posts, and posts that have not been messed with for quite some time now.

It's not really that big of deal, i just noticed some of this when searching for threads and i get threads that have nothing to do with what i'm trying to search.

Thanks in advance,
Kenny

Some of those threads that don't seem to correspond with your search, if you read through all the way, there will usually be a couple of the words in there just briefly mentioned what you are searching for, hence the reason why they come up. Or at least that's what I have noticed.

Well not all of them of course. Just some of them that does'nt need to be there anymore. There are a ton of good technical threads that people could benefit from reading. But then again there are a lot of [cold start issues, which chip to buy, etc. etc.] threads that IMO can be deleted. Anyone and most everyone that has very common questions like that are going to ask them anyways instead of searching for someone elses problems hoping to find something similar to theres.

By no means am i complaining about anything, it's just food for thought.

Up at the top of the page, you can click on the "Mark forums read" button. It will change everything on the site to previously read for you.

Make sure you have read everything you want to before using this button.

I've read some posts that say it messes everything up. And when you say it will change everything on the site to previously read for you, im not sure what you mean.

Re: PSN admin, staff, mods, ect...

It means it will look like you have read everything. But just on your browser. I use it about once a week. It only causes issues when you hit it on accident, because then you are not sure what you have read and you haven't.

Try it, you will see what I mean. Oh and search sucks. If everybody used search, it would be a pretty boring site.

Getting rid of old threas would be like throwing out old magazines. Sure you might not think anything in this issue is usefull. But a year from now you may need that info & remember reading it & can dig it up. You can adjust your browser to how old of a thread you can see.
