my trailer is about 6 1/2 feet x 16' and has two 3500 lb axles. Does it need brakes? It usually hauls a load of cabinets or a side by side and a couple quads plus camping gear( on a good year add a couple elk on the ride home) I need to replace the braked axle and was considering eliminating them.
I'm not sure but I think that was remark regarding the size of elk I shoot, lol. I have actually been using it as a single axle but thought I should put the broken one back on.
Some states require brakes on trailers over a certain gvw and some states require them on all axles. Better check with your state as to what the requirements are.
well that depends on how many beers before the weighing process...lets seven goes into 9 one time carry the two..is that a two or a backwards 5?
