97 7.3 swap into 2000 5.4 f250

Hello Everyone,

I have been debating on the cummins swap or 7.3. I've been doing plenty of research but I couldn't find much on the 1997 obs 7.3 being swamped in a 2000 f250 with a 5.4. Is the swap straight forward or do I need to fab a few things? I'm assuming I need to replace dash harness and my trans. Any info would be greatly appreciated! I found a 97 f250 as a parts truck, I was going to buy it as it's priced fairly cheap.

no

You want to use a 99-03 7.3 for your superduty, not an OBS 7.3. Several advantages to the superduty 7.3 as a donor and will make your life much much easier.
