Bronco II diesel swap

Hey guys so I've been getting the itch to do a
diesel swap. I currently have my lovely OBS but I want something like a wrangler diesel. Since I'm a ford guy I thought why not a bronco 2 same wheel base as a wrangler almost same
size. My question is what motor is best I'm thinking like 7.3 or 5.9 I'd prefer 7.3 keep ford with ford but if I had to I would put a cummins in it. Also what else would need to be done axles suspension body modification etc. thanks guys.

Re: Bronco II diesel swap

Those motors are huge. I don't think either one of them will fit. I would look into a 4bt. There is a thread here where a guy is putting one in a wrangler.

Re: Bronco II diesel swap

both 7.3 and 5.9 would be way to big. Ive seen a ranger with a 4bt but it had to have like a 3in? minimum body lift to clear the motor.

7.3 5spd

95 f350 rclb 7.3

02 f350 ccsb 7.3

Also possibly a Toyota diesel the ones they put in the hilux are good diesel motors that would match well with a smaller vehicle like a bronco 2.

Re: Bronco II diesel swap

Alright what about a 75 bronco would that be a better fit for a bigger diesel swap? Basically what I'm looking for is something relatively small like a wrangler but can fit a bigger diesel like a 5.9 or 7.3.
